Error 500 - Internal Server Error
What causes this error?
Cached files and cookies can sometimes save and store outdated information, which will lead to experiencing problems when trying to access a particular website. The problems and errors that arise can be fixed by clearing your browser's cache.
Clearing cache/cookies on a specific website (Google Chrome):
- Open chrome and maneuver to the site encountering the Cookies/Cache-related error (most often Error 500). Then click on the 'padlock' in the upper left-hand corner, immediately to the left of the URL Bar.
- Select "Cookies" from the dropdown menu.
- Select the "Remove" option until all sites in the list above are gone. Once done the list should be empty.
- Once this has been completed close the tab and maneuver back to the site you just removed all of the cookies from.
Clearing cache/cookies on all websites (Google Chrome):
- Open Chrome. At the top right, click the three dots and click "Settings".
- Scroll down a bit and click "Clear Browsing Data".
- Set the time range to "All Time" and make sure that "Cookies and other site data" and "Cached images and files" checkboxes are checked (Browsing history does not need to be cleared, but will not hurt anything either).
- Finally, click the "Clear Data" button (It may take a minute or two to finish loading).
